Dr. Emily Petersen is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician. After graduating with honors from Texas A&M University as an Animal Science major, she completed her medical training at the McGovern University of Texas Medical School at Houston and her anesthesiology residency at Baylor Scott and White. As a resident, Dr. Petersen was the recipient of the William H. King award for her work in advocacy. She completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is now practicing interventional pain management and anesthesiology in the Houston area.
Throughout her life, Dr. Petersen has been committed to mentoring and helping others.
She thoroughly enjoys public speaking and is enthusiastic about helping her anesthesiologist colleagues improve their communication skills as they prepare for the oral boards.
